Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother
active in the Pacific Northwest
What is the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother doing 2000 to 1400 miles away from the nearest daughter shrine in the Pacific Northwest? She is on the move! From Salem, the capital of Oregon to Tacoma, Washington on the west coast, to The Dalles in north central Oregon, to Hermiston, Oregon and the Tri-Cities in Washington state on the east. Our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt encounters her children especially in the Auxiliary MTA traveling through the Pacific Northwest. In January and February 2020, our MTA could bless with her presence those gathered for the following events and activities in Oregon.
The Dalles: Schoenstatt Mothers and friends met on Sunday, January 26. For some new moms, this was their first contact with Schoenstatt’s network of shrines and the graces our MTA brings.
Hermiston and St. Andrew’s Mission: On Tuesday, January 28, and Sunday, February 2 the Auxiliary MTA was present for the gathering of girls who have participated in the Schoenstatt Girls camps held at St. Andrew’s Mission. The girls did a mission outreach with cookies to bring joy to those in need of a smile.
Hermiston and Boardman: On Monday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 29 the Auxiliary MTA brought the shrine graces to those being recommissioned or newly commissioned as missionaries for the Schoenstatt Pilgrim Mother.
Hermiston: The Schoenstatt Mothers welcomed the Auxiliary MTA for their retreat given by Sr. M. Deanne Niehaus on January 31-February 1, 2020. Those attending were inspired to bring the love our our MTA out to many as Living Monstrance, the ideal of the Schoenstatt Mothers League. There was even one mother from Texas who has recently moved to Tacoma, Washington. New Pilgrim MTA’s are being sent out and hopefully soon the Auxiliary MTA can visit Tacoma, too.
Salem, Oregon area: the Auxiliary MTA is making Schoenstatt more known at the annual Rosary Bowl Event that takes place each year in October at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Keizer.
Our Auxiliary Pilgrim MTA with her missionaries and friends are helping to bridge the gap of the miles between the daughter shrines and the hearts of people in need of Mary’s graces she brings from her network of shrines.
